Big BURTHA

So again this year we took part in a midwest tradition of purchasing a Christmas tree. (We do look forward to going on public land next year in Alaska and selecting the perfect natural tree)




But this tree farm has been good to us the last couple of years and they provided the convienence and assistance needed to get BIG BURTHA into our home. Our home is small but most of our furniture is gone now so BIG BURTHA makes the room cozy...


Kade and Brian cutting down BIG BURTHA... Brian called it the pregnancy tree because no one in thier right mind would have chosen this tree. It just looked like the most natural to me as most of the other ones were so groomed we might as well had a fake tree. Big Burtha has character beyond the incredibly front heavy, crooked trunk she rests upon. After a little bit of grooming, I think she's about the most beautiful...full tree one could have chosen. Brian did ask if we get a discount for chosing the ugly tree...no discount offered as we almost plugged the tree netter with our big tree.



Big Burtha's BIG FALL...

BURTHA needed some extra support. Good thing Brian is handy. He built a stand around our stand and added support beams up the sides of the tree. What a trooper!!!
