Some highlights of Kades first year...
I love it when Kade rests on your shoulder, it's like he melts into your body. Addi was never a snuggler and this is a great trait of Kade's.
I loved feeding Kade a bottle in the middle of the night. It's time I don't remember when I was nursing because I would mulitask with sleeping. Kade would just watch you and play with your lips.
Watching Kade learn to sit up. He would topple over like humpty dumpty and laugh. Pretty cute.
Kade falling asleep in my arms at Christmas, rare occasion and wonderful.
I love watching Kade play because he is all boy. Going full force at everything, loving the noise.
Watching Kade giggle and scurry up the stairs is also a fun game.
Best of all I will never forget the day he caused physical pain to his sister for the first time. He finally faught back after all this time. It was a proud moment for both Brian and I. The poor boy was so abused for so long but watch out Adelyn, pay backs.



About this time last year, I was 30 lbs heavier, walking my buns off just hoping I could turn a little contraction into labor... Even though this failed Kade managed to arrive just a bit late and now he is a year old. It goes so fast. We took advantage of Kades birthday as a good excuse to invite all the Anesthesia families over. We are renting a small home at this time but it is the largest of most the families as they are in apartments. No one cared how cramped it was or that they didn't have a chair. It was wonderful to have a house full or overfull. We had seven families turn out which included a wide variety of ages. Kade was the youngest but not the smallest of course. We had a total of 29 people in our home, 13 children 5 or younger. I should have taken more pictures because it was wild with kids and having all the toddlers in the kitchen to eat was so cute. Well here are some pictures I was able to get.


Kade did really well considering he is not a fan of strange people. He took only a couple of bites of his cake before flipping the entire cake off his highchair.












The kids loved jumping off the furniture, maybe they are deprived in their own home but not here. Much better than fighting over toys...
